<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WkByXEC_Tao/VS6o5xjRtKI/AAAAAAAAD0I/eppWBCfzYU0/s1600/sewing%2Broom%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WkByXEC_Tao/VS6o5xjRtKI/AAAAAAAAD0I/eppWBCfzYU0/s1600/sewing%2Broom%2B1.jpg" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Last week my husband and I had a chance to vacation for a week in a timeshare in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">I took plenty of mini kits to work on in my downtime. After a day of hiking, antiquing or wine tasting, I settled in and worked on some quarter scale miniature kits I have been neglecting for a while. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">The filled armoire is a kit by B&J's miniatures. I am ashamed to say how long I had this kit in my possession unfinished. The armoire kit went together beautifully. I used my stain pen and gave it a oak stain finish.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Filling the cabinet overwhelmed me until I just jumped in and started playing. Because many of the graphics included in the kit were so tiny, I kind of did my own thing. Once I started, I couldn't stop until I had it completed, which was that evening. </span></div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yllEIG6mPK0/VS6o5LY2GVI/AAAAAAAAD0A/oPoFp1vGHfE/s1600/Sewing%2Broom%2B4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yllEIG6mPK0/VS6o5LY2GVI/AAAAAAAAD0A/oPoFp1vGHfE/s1600/Sewing%2Broom%2B4.jpg" height="305" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;"> The sewing room is in the third floor of the Jasmine Victorian I am currently working on. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">The work table is a kit by the Betterley's. I used some items from the armoire kit and many items that I have been collecting to fill the table.</span> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KLTIMe3R8dM/VS6o4rahQaI/AAAAAAAADz4/45c664MbKzc/s1600/Sewing%2Broom%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KLTIMe3R8dM/VS6o4rahQaI/AAAAAAAADz4/45c664MbKzc/s1600/Sewing%2Broom%2B3.jpg" height="285" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;"> This adorable treadle sewing machine was an item I bought finished from B&J's miniatures.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">The thread cabinet is also one of their kits. The beautiful rug I found on pinterest and printed it on fabric. Just a few more touches and this room will be complete. My goal is to have the house completed in time to take it to Name National in Indy this year.....or more realistically, next year.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Here is a sampling of some of the flowers I worked on too. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">If I was as prolific in working on my miniatures as I was on this one week of vacation, all of my kits would be completed!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Have a wonderful day,</span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is some progress I have made with the kitchen in my quarter scale Jasmine house. The kitchen cabinets and table and chairs are from Pretty Small Things. They are 3D printed. The chairs are so tiny and detailed...truly amazing. </div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;"> I couldn't resist making a few pieces of furniture too. Here is a wardrobe, a dressed bed and a nightstand. The dressed bed still needs it pillows.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This is a quarter scale Victorian Gothic house that I am working on. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It is a great laser cut kit from Laser Dollhouses <a href="http://www.laserdollhouses.com/">http://www.laserdollhouses.com/</a> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Leonard makes great dollhouse kits in 1", 1/2" and 1/4" sizes. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KC5EnvPLH5c/Ut7JHg8Sh4I/AAAAAAAACUg/-rHHGsNNxuM/s1600/DSC07727.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KC5EnvPLH5c/Ut7JHg8Sh4I/AAAAAAAACUg/-rHHGsNNxuM/s1600/DSC07727.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So far I have assembled two floors, added the flooring and wallpaper. There is supposed to be two staircases in the main hall but I am considering leaving them out. I also left out one wall to make the living room larger.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ARvgGYtrk5c/Ut7JH34L5rI/AAAAAAAACUk/0a7SsWQBN60/s1600/DSC07729.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ARvgGYtrk5c/Ut7JH34L5rI/AAAAAAAACUk/0a7SsWQBN60/s1600/DSC07729.JPG" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the front of the house so far. I painted it a buttermilk color with light green and white trim.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I will post more photos as I progress. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Have a wonderful day.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Landscaping my Pickett Hill quarter scale house has been challenging but fun.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I learned to make many...many hydrangeas and hollyhocks.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have also displayed several of my tiny dolls that I purchased from <a href="http://andrewsmini.com/miniatures/index.php?main_page=index">Suzanne and Andrews</a> Miniatures.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The bird feeder is from<a href="http://mini-gems.com/"> Mini Gems</a>, Barbara Meyer. See the tiny bird on it too.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had to have a garden gnome. It is from Mini Gems too.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Through the garden arbor. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Working in quarter scale is a challenge. Maybe that is what I love so much about it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The interior of the house is almost finished. I still have the bathroom fixtures to add.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Have a wonderful day!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This house in an adorable quarter scale house kit that I bought from Suzanne Larson-Tamburo. </div>

I still have lots of landscaping to do as well as the interior to furnish. It is coming along nicely.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The class was a two day workshop. In that time we built the house, made the paper clay tile roof, did all of the landscaping shown so far including the stone walls. We even made the tree and a little pond for the swans. If you ever get a chance to take one of Suzanne's workshops, I highly recommend it. She is a fantastic teacher...and she gave us morning and afternoon snacks!</div>

There were 10 students in the class. Here is a photo of the box when I was installing the ceiling.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_fw_utllgDag/TL7uKUTE8II/AAAAAAAAAjQ/XxZrDUpGr_c/s1600/DSC01581.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ex="true" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_fw_utllgDag/TL7uKUTE8II/AAAAAAAAAjQ/XxZrDUpGr_c/s320/DSC01581.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> The floor was 300 cut pieces of textured wallpaper that I individually painted to look like Terra cotta flooring. The wood was all faux finished with burnt umber oil paint and liquin on book board. <br />
The rectangle holes in the wall will have two 144th scale room boxes installed....room boxes for my room box. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_fw_utllgDag/TL7uZHffOQI/AAAAAAAAAjU/LJjd6LTQKtw/s1600/DSC01585.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ex="true" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_fw_utllgDag/TL7uZHffOQI/AAAAAAAAAjU/LJjd6LTQKtw/s320/DSC01585.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> The cabinets are being installed. We built all of the cabinets, stove, refrigerator, etc....The marble counter top and back splash are wallpaper that I gave a high gloss glaze shine. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_fw_utllgDag/TL7ulYF9-tI/AAAAAAAAAjY/OnX2vMnEqVo/s1600/DSC01583.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ex="true" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_fw_utllgDag/TL7ulYF9-tI/AAAAAAAAAjY/OnX2vMnEqVo/s320/DSC01583.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> This is the back of the box for access to the lighting.
