Quarter Scale Hollyhocks for Pickett Hill

I have been working on landscaping my Pickett Hill quarter scale house.
These are hollyhocks that I finished.  They we quite a bit of work but I am happy with the result.
This is a photo of the living room with the craft nook above.

Tulips for spring

Last week my friends and I got together to make some tulips.  We used the instructions in the book by Pepperwood miniatures.  Tulips are surprisingly easy to make.
Enjoy!

Lydia Pickett Quater Scale..Finally put together!

This house in an adorable quarter scale house kit that I bought from Suzanne Larson-Tamburo.
It was a very detailed laser cut kit.  It took me a while to put it together, working on it occasionally over the past two years.
Now that the house is together, I have the landscaping and interior furniture to finish.
This is a labor of love for sure.

A view from the side of the house.

Ready to move in!

Progress with Quarter Scale Houses

At the Chicago International show, I took this workshop by Suzanne Larson Tamburo.
It is a quarter scale adorable house called "Fairy Tales".
I still have lots of landscaping to do as well as the interior to furnish.  It is coming along nicely.
The class was a two day workshop.  In that time we built the house,  made the paper clay tile roof, did all of the landscaping shown so far including the stone walls.  We even made the tree and a little pond for the swans.  If you ever get a chance to take one of Suzanne's workshops, I highly recommend it.  She is a fantastic teacher...and she gave us morning and afternoon snacks!

Enjoy!

Flower photos

This basket of lilacs turned out very pretty.  I made the lilacs from a kit that I bought.
There a tiny beads that I painted on the tops of the lilacs to look like flower buds.
I added some seed packets and a shovel.
These hydrangeas I made from leaf sheets from Pepperwood Miniatures.  I used the pink leaf sheets  and added a few blooms from the green leaf sheet as well.
I was surprised at how many flower heads and leaves it took to fill this wire wicker planter.
It turned out wonderful and I am satisfied.
This will go in the greenhouse in my newest room box.
Have a wonderful day,
Donna

New Photos to show

This cabinet is from a class that I took in Chicago from Lisa Engler of Lisa's Little Things.

There were about ten of us in the class.  We had fun assembling all of the little bolts of lace, boxes and trimming for the cabinet.

Now I need to design a room box around this beautiful piece!
have a wonderful day,
